Job Summary:

Provides direct service to families, assists governmental entities in carry out housing requirements and works in collaboration with agencies with similar missions. Fulfills administrative and supervisory functions.

KEY RESULTS AREAS:

Apartment management: maintain vacancy rate at 6% or lower.

Housing rehabilitation: rehabilitate all properties under sales agreements within three (3) months after property is completed.

Home ownership counseling: use 100% of funds allocated by HOI.

Administrative support: maintain files in good order; maintain a team approach to scattered site rehabs process; maintain cleaning schedule for all properties.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Screens and prepares credit reports for Gen. Cigar Apartments on a timely basis.

2. Facilitates acquisition and sale of rehab properties through realtors and rehabilitation specialist on a timely basis.

3. Counsels clients seeking home ownership as assigned.

4. Oversees scattered site rehab program and recommends cost-effective solutions as assigned.

5. Oversees maintenance and repair program on a timely basis.

Education, Training or Certification:

Certificate from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

Two to four years related experience and / or training.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, suppliers and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving variables and the need to deal with exceptions and changes in a variety of situations.

Certificates, licenses, registrations:

Other skills and abilities, including computers, tools, equipment, technical knowledge:

Computer literacy; technical knowledge of housing rehabilitation; knowledge of credit reports and home ownership budgeting; knowledge of real estate sales process; knowledge of PHFA reports for apartments; knowledge of repair process. Flexible to be able to move between properties for follow up on maintenance and repair. Cooperative with other departments. Prepare reports for the COO on progress of housing rehab and sales.
