Good Morning Ms. Fisher,
First of all I would like to extend my appreciation to Nuestra Clinica Residencial (N.C.R.) for being a great tool and asset in my recovery.
Today, as I often do, I visited the N.C.R. website and I couldn’t help but notice that the success stories section have not been updated as of yet. [And that is what] prompted me to write this email. Six months ago, I graduated from N.C.R. and I consider myself one of many of N.C.R.’s success stories. So you might be wondering what has prompted me to make that claim. Well, let me explain.
As soon as I graduated from N.C.R. in late February 2012, I got my driving privileges back (February 29th 2012) next I started Intensive Outpatient Program (I.O.P.). While I attended I.O.P., I started working on a treatment plan, which was specific towards me. I set a few short and long term goals, such as: obtain my G.E.D, complete I.O.P, learn more about my recovery, work on my credit and work on my relationship with my family, to name a few.
As I began my I.O.P. treatment, I was made aware of the Philadelphia Transformation Initiative. . . I started going through trainings while attending I.O.P. and working on obtaining my G.E.D.
. . . and last but not least, my biggest accomplishment to date(as of yet, keeping in mind there is much more to come from me) in September 7th, 2012, I successfully became a Certified Recovery Specialist (C.R.S.) thru Pennsylvania Certification Board(P.C.B.) I am also the sound tech guy for House Of Restoration John 3:16. I volunteer at I.O.P. and I also facilitate “Latinos In Recovery Group” at 17th and Lehigh at Pro-Act.
I am working on getting a job in the human services field (wish me luck). But I must admit that none of this would have been remotely possible with out the help of God and the help of N.C.R.
Jacqueline, there is much more to come from me [and] with the help of God, I will continue to be one of God’s and Nuestra Clinica Residencial’s success stories. Words alone can’t begin to express how grateful I am of having participated in my recovery at N.C.R. with its beautiful facility and wonderful staff.
Jacqueline and Julio, from the bottom of my heart, I say thank you. N.C.R. gave me a second chance at life and for this I will be forever grateful to you and your staff. God Bless N.C.R. Once again, thank you. Hope to hear back from you soon.
