Commercial & Industrial Plumbing Technology Fall 2024

I began my career at Dart when I was 18, but I quickly realized that it wasn’t the long-term path I envisioned for myself. I then chose to attend Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, where I graduated last May. While I was proud of this achievement, the opportunities available to me afterward did not fully align with my goals, so I decided to pursue further education to broaden my career prospects. Although my family, originally from Puerto Rico, does not have a background in the trades, I saw this field as a promising path to establish a stable and rewarding career.

Thanks to the support and guidance from Tec Centro and Thaddeus, I am, God willing, on track to start a rewarding career with excellent pay and benefits. This program has provided an opportunity that many of my classmates and I might not have otherwise had access to—a pathway to a fulfilling career instead of just a job, which is truly life-changing. Through this journey, I’ve met exceptional individuals who have become friends and mentors, and their impact has been transformative. This experience has prepared me well, and I’m ready to move forward confidently and excited for the future.

I have ambitious plans for the future and look forward to seeing what opportunities may arise. My personal goals include eventually owning a business and investing in rental properties. In the long term, I aim to support others by contributing to organizations like SACA and other nonprofits worldwide. It’s important to me to make a meaningful impact in the community and help those in need by creating opportunities to make a real difference.
